  1. STANLEY NO. 51, SPOKE SHAVE, Notched-rectangle logo on the cutter. Used for work on flat or convex surfaces. Flat bottom, raised handles for clearance. 2 1/8 inch wide cutter. 90% japanning, G+ ........ $25.00

  2. STANLEY NO. 60, DOUBLE SPOKE SHAVE, Has both a flat and convex shave side-by-side. This was made by Stanley, but the cutters are marked Made in USA, so, it was probably sold by another dealer. 90% japanning, G+ ................ $40.00

  3. STANLEY NO. 63, SPOKE SHAVE, Convex bottom for concave work like cabriole legs. Lightweight shave has an 1 3/4 inch cutter. Early (1910) V trademark on the cutter. 85% japanning, G++ ................ $45.00

  4. STANLEY NO. 64, SPOKE SHAVE, Flat bottom. Light weight. Has an 1 3/4 inch cutter. For flat and convex work. Notched-rectangle logo on the cutter.98% japanning remains, and minor patina. Has had light use, Fine .......... $40.00

  5. STANLEY NO. 67, UNIVERSAL SPOKE SHAVE, V logo on the cutter with good length. Complete with the round and flat soles and fence. The handles can be removed and screwed in the top to facilitate work in close areas, as for rabbeting. 94% nickel plating with a bit of dirt. The rosewood handles are nice, G++ ........ $165.00

  6. STANLEY NO. 85, RAZOR-EDGE SPOKE SHAVE, Boxwood frame, adjustable throat and adjustable depth. Basically unused. Good length to the cutter,which is 2 1/2 inches wide, and both ears are still there. A perfect user tool, Fine+ ............... $110.00

  7. STANLEY NO. 151, ADJUSTABLE SPOKE SHAVE, Sweetheart logo on the cutter. This is the all-purpose workhorse of the Stanley line. Used for flat or convex work. There are two nuts that engage with the cutter to provide an easy way for proper adjustment. 98% japanning. Has been lightly cleaned, G++............... Sold $50.00

  9. STANLEY NO. 151M, ADJUSTABLE SPOKE SHAVE, The M means it's made from malleable iron. Sweetheart trademark on the cutter dates it to around 1930. Used for flat or convex work.   1. WILLIAMS PATENT SPOKESHAVE-LIKE SCRAPER, This one has a convex bottom. Patented July 24, 1866. Has a ram's-horn shaped body and a front sole with the patent date.
    This was apparently the first patent with a center screw to adjust the spring of the cutter. A rare tool, G+ ....... $155.00

  2. MILLERS FALLS NO. 1 CIRCULAR SHAVE. Reverse the cutter for flat or curved work. Rosewood handles on this shave with a circular shape permitting the tool to work in small circles. The knife is so pitched that it cuts instead of scraping the grain. Either handle is removable for working in cramped quarters. Has the Feb 19, 1884 patent date.   3. CRESCENT SPOKE SHAVE, Flat bottom, raised looped handles. Looks the same as the Birmingham spokeshave. 75% japanning, G+ .............. $30.00

Beaders [CLICK TO ORDER]
  1. STANLEY NO. 66 HAND BEADER, Feb. 9. (18)86 patent date is cast in the body, and S casting marks on the main pieces. 92% of the nickel plating is still there. There is none on the straight fence - it looks like there never was any. The curved fence is an earlier japanned one. With eight double-ended cutters that are professional reproductions, Fine .............. $155.00

  3. WINDSOR BEADER, Second type marked with the March 10- and June 2- 1885 patent dates on the ebonized body. The brass plates and fence have great patina. This one comes with both of the original cutters - one for beads and the other has some reeding cutters. Minor wear at the back of the wood bottom won't effect use. It's a little over 10 inches long, Fine ......... $245.00
